Play Together beginner guide

HAEGIN’s short description of the game is the whole pitch: an imaginary town where you play and connect with friends. Steam’s page adds the download count line (“over 200 million downloads”), home parties, minigames, fishing, insects, fossils, and pets.

The two buttons that matter

These are the places the English help articles and the official hub guide name. They are a first-hour route, not every NPC.

A sensible first hour

1. Finish the character creator. Steam’s feature list calls out skin tones, hairstyles, body types, and costumes.
2. Open the Phone map and walk the Plaza until the Fishing Shop, Pet Shop, and Camping Ground are pins you recognize.
3. Pick one money loop and one social loop. A rod or a net is the money loop. A friend Follow, a home visit, or a Game Party is the social loop. Stars are explained on Money.
4. If you want a pet, the Pet Shop is the official shop. Growth rules are on Pets. A 2021 fan guide’s free-egg mission is not repeated here as a current reward.
5. Redeem a coupon only after you can see Enter Coupon. Then open the mailbox.

Travel

The hub guide calls travel a move between regions, started by talking to the Flight Attendant and choosing Travel. The regions it names are East Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, America, and Vietnam. Each visit stamps a passport under Profile, then the plane icon. Your home region shows a house icon. Returning home costs nothing. You leave the same way you arrived.

Friends, once added, can Follow you or be Summoned from Phone, Friends. Summon asks them to come to you. Follow moves you to them. You can also tap a character and choose Follow. The in-game achievement track, separate from whatever Steam Achievements the client exposes, is a five-stage stamp track on the Phone that pays Gems. Names of individual Steam achievements are not copied here.
