The house is the other character creator. Steam’s paragraph is about style and a party. The help articles are about which menu sells the furniture.

What you can do with a house

Steam’s feature text says you choose a house from many styles, place a large furniture set, and invite friends to a Home Party. The activities it names at a house are catching fish, playing games, chatting, and role-play. Visiting someone else’s home is the same idea in the other direction.

Stars are the currency the Stars article names for furniture. Pet furniture has its own path: Phone → Furniture Shop → Pet Furniture. Eggs and beds for the pet itself are still the Plaza Pet Shop. Care rules are on Pets.

The bedroom shot on the store page is the kind of room the feature is selling. It is not a catalog.

The Phone is the party list

“What is the Phone?” says the Phone opens home parties, among minigames, customization, and recycling. The hub guide says friends can join your Home Party once you are friends, and that the friend list is on the Phone.

HAEGIN’s help article titled “Sep. 30th 1.48.0 Update Details” describes a reworked Home Party page:

• A clearer list of live parties, with a visitor total.
• Photos of your interior on your profile.
• A Sort button so you can filter by theme, plus a party introduction before you join.
• A Popular House tab. Houses on that list can be visited even when the owner is offline.
• An advertise item, and Send Invitation, for inviting several friends while a party is running.
• A profile change in the same notes: friend cap raised to 200, and a Visit House button on a profile.

Fishing at a party

The store page says a Home Party can include fishing. Rod rules are on Fishing: you still need a rod equipped, and shallow water does not count. Whose tank receives the fish is not stated in the articles used here. Catch one and see where it lands.

Travel does not replace a house. The Flight Attendant moves you between regions, and the hub guide says your home region is marked with a house icon and that the trip home is free. That is on the Beginner guide.
